Pg 9
“Yes, or something else, the Police are not saying their suspicions. but I have a hunch one of the two could have been involved” demands Ace
“Or at least seen something” exalts Amy.
“R-R-R-Right” says Ace who regularly used that word, in that way, as an expression of his coolness.
Pg 14
“Melissa and I will watch the pickup truck with the broken tail light while Fred and Ann watch the burglars victim home. Amy and Jerry will play all across the neighborhood looking for clues to another break-in. We will continue this routine for some days, so take note. We are to meet back here at 4 pm each day, and since the burglaries haven’t occurred at night much and because of the curfew we’ll only play at our watch sites till 10 pm each night, ok. Since we all have cell phones our parents gave us for emergencies, we will call each other in the event something happens” exalts Ace.
Pg 22
“We talked to all the neighbors and people who were home that day on Oak Fare Lane when the burglary occurred. What is consistent there were quite a few Vans and a Tractor Trailers around. Ironically no one was home in the area near the house that was burglarized except one person, who was home from work having their car repaired. That person said various people looking like moving people approached the house and worked in it. They were a distant neighbor and didn’t know the people, The person thought they were moving, getting an addition to the house or receiving a delivery.” shouts Amy
Pg 29
“Man from the house we’re watching has left and is heading your direction” asserts Ann while they trail the man but the phone isn’t working. Fred reaches into his pocket for his phone and realizes he has left it home. The two scramble and Fred turns red from rebuke from Ann, as the two follow the suspect.
Pg 40
“The reason I took off today was not to do housework but rather I was paid to take off by some man. I met him at a store across the street and he told me I could make extra money if I lived in the housing section. I said I did and he gave me $500, all I had to do was count the amount of times I saw a Police Car and call a number each time one was near, his name was John Cavicks he said” cries the woman.
Pg 50
“I say we keep investigating the neighborhood along with these new threats on adjacent streets and wait it out, find out more from Veronica if possible. If things get bad we’ll let the Police know the day before or even that same morning, if we can determine a time of a robbery” says Ace
Pg 61
Ace tingles with the lock and can‘t break it open, so looks for another way in, soon he finds that the lock on the cab door is unlocked and he climbs in. As soon as Ace does so, a car comes down the street toward the truck.
“Somebody’s on the way” says Mellissa as her and the other club members except Ace run into the bushes near the truck.
The car stops and the passenger gets out. “Okay, Bob I’m on my way to the Reserve in these trucks with the goods” says the passenger.
